Two of the members of Honduras Prospera LLC, which manages the ZEDEs in Honduras, Erick Brimen, the director, and his Theorist/Partner, Cesar Balmaseda, are members of ALEC, a white supremacist organization in the US. The two also participate in NeWay Foundation Capital LLC, the parent company of Honduras Prospera, where Brimen is CEO and Balmaseda a managing partner. Other members and advisors of Honduras Prospera LLC are steeped in extreme right wing US politics. We will be detailing them in the near future, so check back.
ALEC Attendees Demand Prosperity Now! 7/31/2020 Compact for America: "And
they were moved by NeWAY Foundation's Erick Brimen who recounted the horrors
visited upon Venezuela by Chavista socialism and the bounty delivered by free
market zones throughout the world."
The Prosperity States Initiative: A Policy Lesson from When Harry Met Sally 10/17/2016 ALEC: "That’s
why a growing coalition of innovative think tanks and experts, including Compact
for America, NeWAY Foundation and Federalism in Action, are advancing the
Prosperity States Initiative. This movement recognizes that the “Special
Economic Zone” (“SEZ”) concept—the idea of delivering a full package of free
market reforms in a designated area—is the most powerful policy reform for
reversing the loss of freedom."
How to Find Us at ALEC July 26-29 7/22/2016 Compact for America: "If you're

acudir a dicha conferencia."
The Hottest New Thing in Seasteading Is Land 12/23/2019 Bloomberg: ""Patri
Friedman is sick of the jokes about floating tax havens. About a decade ago, the
former Google software engineer (and grandson of Nobel Prize-winning economist
Milton Friedman) co-founded the Seasteading Institute, a nonprofit with the
stated aim of developing a model for self-governing offshore communities….
Honduras amended its constitution in 2013 to allow the creation of special
economic zones outside the country’s legal framework. Erick Brimen, a startup
founder who has coordinated development projects in Central America, is
informally working with Friedman and others on Prospera Honduras, a local
business advocacy group there...Why the colonial-sounding framework, right down
to the old British laws? Dressed in a well-loved Slytherin sweatshirt, Friedman
says it’s the best fuel for a fledgling economy and property values, and to
assure global investors that their money will be safe in Pronomos projects. The
justice system is more important than the tax breaks, he says, citing research
that suggests faith in a functional code of laws is a leading indicator of a
region’s economic success."

Venezuelan Apocalypse II: More updates on the epic failure of socialism in
oil-rich Venezuela 8/12/2016 American Enterprise Institute: "In the video
below, Erick Brimen, founder and partner at NeWAY Capital and a member of
Freedom Partners Chamber of Commerce, provides an alarming firsthand account of
the devastating impact that cronyism and socialism have had on Venezuela. He
also explains why the failure of socialism in Venezuela has some lessons for
Americans, especially those like Bernie Sanders and his followers who are
embracing the same political and economic system – socialism – that brought
poverty, misery and economic devastation to our oil-rich South American
neighbor."

Hey Bernie, I left Venezuela's socialism behind for a reason: Voices 6/7/2016 WKYC: by
Eric Brimen - "Entrenched interests, especially the well-connected and the
unscrupulous, stand to gain the most in a socialist system. This stems from the
simple fact that the rapid growth and centralization of governmental power gives
them unprecedented opportunities to rig the system in their own favor. Far from
eliminating cronyism, socialism makes it more prevalent."
